One of the hallmarks of Couple Dialogue is the encouragement to ‘trust the process’ of speaking for ourselves and truly listening to our partner. But sometimes we need reminders! Thankfully, whether we're in the role of listener, speaker, or witness, we can lovingly remind ourselves of what is needed to help the dialogue stay on track and keep going deeper.
To help us all refresh and be aware of these “self-corrections”, FCE is launching a series of short "Dialogue Refresher" videos.
These short "snippets" of Couple Dialogue are not staged -- they come from real dialogues recorded during Zoom gatherings.
The goal of these videos is to help us all remember some of the small actions or questions we can use to help each other stick to the gentle, but powerful, process of Couple Dialogue.
A dialogue between Jean Eden and Lorene Ludy that demonstrates their ability to ask for reflection (and to recognize when reflection has gone too far). This snippet was recorded during an FCE Leader Couple Zoom gathering in early 2026.
Coming soon: Dialogue Refresher #2: "That's not what I said."
